Dr. Laila Al-Marayati, President of the Muslim Women's League, served as a private sector advisor on the official United States Delegation to the United Nations Fourth World Conference on Women, held in Beijing, China, September 4 - 15, 1995.

She was well received by delegation members, including First Lady Hillary Clinton, and members of the State Department, and was invited to read a statement at the US Delegation press conference. In addition, the Muslim Women's League was accredited as an official non-governmental organization (NGO) to the conference, and sent a delegation to the conference and the parallel NGO Forum held in Huairou, China. The delegation was made up of Dr. Al-Marayati, Samer Hathout, Esq., and Asifa Quraishi, Esq.
